I received the most amazing news today at the oncology clinic.  When I had my first relapse in 2015, I was diagnosed with Philadelphia Chromosome positive ALL, something that is difficult to treat and get rid of.  October 7th was my one year anniversary of my bone marrow transplant and I got my final results from my annual biopsy today.

I am in 100% mitochondrial remission.

No leukemia!

No Philadelphia Chromosome!

No cancer!

For the first time in years, I finally feel like I’m going to be okay.

I’m going to live.

I’m going to survive.

I’m going to thrive.

I don’t have enough words to express the gratitude I feel for my donor, my family,  and my medical team. They are all so important to me. They gave me support. They held me and kept me strong. They gave me life. They are my heroes.

If you can, please consider bone marrow donation through Be the Match. You could be a hero and save someone’s life.
